PE-R-PE therapy process
PE-R-PE therapy is a three-step process at our clinic. Most PE-R-PE therapy requires three treatments 4–6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are required every 4–6 months.
Step 01:
Your blood is drawn — normally from your arm — and put into a centrifuge (a machine that spins rapidly to separate fluids of different densities).
Step 02:
After about 10 minutes in the centrifuge, your blood will have divided into three layers:
Poor P.
Rich P.
Red blood cells
Step 03:
The PE-R-PE is taken up into a syringe and then injected into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth.
Who’s a good candidate for PE-R-PE?
PE-R-PE for hair loss works best on younger people who address their condition early while hair follicles are still alive but have become inactive. Hair follicles can die due to poor nutrition, old age, illness, and other reasons.
If you take blood thinners, are a heavy smoker, or have a medical condition such as cancer, liver disease, diabetes, PE-R-PE count, chronic infections, or low PE-R-PE, therapy may not be suitable for you.
